God Walks Beside You When life's road seems dark and foreboding, And the hills too steep to climb, And you just know your going to stumble In simply "a matter of time," Don't ever stop walking - just slow down, And you'll find some time each day To enjoy the countless wonders God has placed along the way. If the going ever gets too tough And you really could use a friend - Remember - God walks beside you, As He will till your journey's end. Just reach out and call His name. He'll gently take your hand. He'll guide you and protect you, And help you understand... That life is never easy. There will be joy and sorrow, But if you learn to turn to Him, He'll get you through each "tomorrow." Doris A. Our Great and Glorious God Our Father made so many things Of beauty and of light, Including flowers and leafy trees Which are of pure delight! I know that tears must sometimes fall To help me stand up strong and tall, All strength and power is Yours to give, Your hand is there each day I live. When on the mountaintop I stand The blessings flow from Your strong hand, But when the valley days are here, I feel your presence always near. Doing Things Your Way I wonder what Your plans are, Lord. How will I live this day? I pray that I can please you In each and every way. I hope to be kind and helpful To everyone that I see. Let joy and love shine from my heart So they may see You through me. I pray that I can help others Through their periods of pain and sorrow. Let me help them find hope and peace Until they have a brighter tomorrow. Abundantly Rich If in this lifetime I am blest With the gift of peace of mind, I truly will acknowledge it As a gift from the Divine. Then regardless of the moment, Be it fair or dark as night, With my peace of mind I'll treasure Seeing darkness turn to light. So I will just continue Knowing, if it be God's will, That He will lavish freely, My cup He'll overfill. So I'll journey down the pathway, Though winding it may be, With my peace of mind I'll treasure For as far as eyes can see.
